No students on bus during early morning crash in Concord

CONCORD, N.C. — A Cabarrus County school bus was involved in an accident in Concord Wednesday morning, according to school officials.

No students were on board when an SUV apparently rear-ended bus 288 -- which is assigned to Rocky River Elementary -- on Champion Lane just off of Zion Church Road.

Paramedics took four people from the crash to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the wreck.
