Northeast Charlotte house fire causes $80k in damage

CHARLOTTE —

Firefighters responded to a house fire in northeast Charlotte on Wednesday morning.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the call came in around 10:16 a.m.

There was heavy fire and smoke showing. Officials said the fire did around $80,000 in damage. No one was injured.

Twenty-six firefighters brought the incident under control in 20 minutes. An extra engine was brought in due to the heat.

Five adults and two children were displaced. The Red Cross is assisting them.
