CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officer is in the hospital and expected to be OK after a crash Thursday night in east Charlotte.
The officer was driving in an unmarked car with his emergency equipment activated just before 7 p.m. on Eastway Drive, CMPD said.
Police said another vehicle pulled in front of him and the cars collided.
The other driver also went to the hospital and is expected to be OK too.
