Officers search for Highland Creek home intruders

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A breaking and entering occurred Tuesday at about noon at the 5800 block of Graburn's Ford Drive in Highland Creek, according to a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Three male teenagers kicked in the back door of the residence and the homeowner scared off the suspects.

At the time of the crime, CMPD officers set up a perimeter and brought in K-9 officers and the CMPD helicopter to assist in the search but were unable to locate the suspects who fled towards a golf course.

“It makes me feel a bit worried like I probably should pay attention more to people who are walking around,” said Gemma Pisano, a resident.

Another resident, Pamela Cox, said, “To do something that brazen as during the daylight.”
