Officials: 1 dead in eastern NC plane crash

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — A small plane crashed in eastern North Carolina killing one person, authorities said.

Officials said the aircraft went off the radar in Cumberland County Sunday.

The plane crashed in Robeson County, officials said.

The plane was supposed to land in Fayetteville, about 40 miles from where it went down.
