A Fort Bragg soldier was pronounced dead Sunday at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after being shot, Channel 9's partner, WTVD, reported.
Capt. Benjamin Blaylock, 39, of Spanish Fork, Utah, was shot at his home in Sanford, authorities said.
They did not release any more details about the shooting and said they are still investigating.
Blaylock joined the Army in 2010 and worked as a human resource officer with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 108th Air Defense Artillery Brigade.
