Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said a Saturday night shooting that injured a 14-year-old in west Charlotte was an accident.
The shooting happened on Toddville Road at Esther Lane.
Police said they're not sure if the teen shot himself or if a friend accidentally shot him.
The teen's injuries are non-life-threatening.
Police used a K-9 unit to search the wooded area near where the shooting happened.
