CONCORD, N.C. - Concord police and the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office said they are searching a pond in connection with a missing person case.
Officials received a tip that the body of a person missing from Concord might be located in the pond, which is at a local rock quarry near the intersection of N.C. Highway 49 and Old Charlotte Road. They did not identify the missing person case.
Police said late Thursday morning that a body has not been found so far in the search. The search is in its initial phase, officials said. They did not say how long they planned to search.
