CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — One person was killed and two others seriously injured Friday night in 3-car crash in Conover.
The wreck happened just before midnight on Keisler Dairy Road, near Lakeside Drive.
Troopers told Channel 9 that a man was speeding when he crossed the center line and hit a car, before crashing head-on into another vehicle, killing that driver.
Officials have not released the deceased's name but said she was a 26-year-old woman from Claremont.
The two other who were injured were taken to the hospital. Officers closed the road for several hours overnight.
Troopers have not said if any charges will be filed.
