CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash Monday night on WT Harris Boulevard, near the Northlake Mall.

Samuel Sarks Krikorian died at the hospital after the wreck.
According to police, Krikorian was on a Yamaha motorcycle that was heading east on WT Harris Blvd. when he collided with a Chevrolet Malibu that was turning onto Northlake West Drive from westbound WT Harris Boulevard.

The driver of the Malibu was also taken to the hospital but will be OK.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police said neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash.
