CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for the gunman who shot someone at a home in west Charlotte late Thursday night.
Officers were called just before 10 p.m. to the scene on Crestridge Drive and found one victim who had been shot.
Paramedics took that person to Carolinas Medical Center but no update on his or her condition has been released.
Channel 9 reporter Stephanie Tinoco was on scene as more than a dozen officers and detectives were investigating.
About 90 minutes later, police were called to another house nearby where someone fired shots into a home, hitting a man inside.
Channel 9 could see investigators placing evidence markers indicating shell casings on the ground outside the home on Carol Avenue, just north of Tuckaseegee Road.
The man was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital, but is expected to survive.
Detectives have not released any other details about the shootings.
