STRING OF ROBBERIES: Seven businesses robbed at gunpoint in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking for suspects believed to have robbed seven businesses overnight.

Police have only released surveillance videos related to four of those robberies.

Investigators think the same person could be behind at least two of the crimes. They are also looking to see if the robberies are connected.

Police said a man robbed a QuickTrip on The Plaza just before 4 a.m., and an hour later, they said he robbed another QuickTrip about five miles away on Albemarle Road. Police said he had a gun at both stops.

Surveillance cameras caught a man robbing the 7-11 on Monroe Road with a gun around 3:30 a.m., according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, 6 feet tall, who was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and dark pants.

Police said a man walked into the Xpress Mart on Nations Ford Road before 1:30 a.m., pointed a gun at the clerk and took money and beer.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall with short hair and a small beard.
