STATESVILLE - A tractor trailer overturned on Interstate 40 westbound on Tuesday morning around 3 a.m.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, the right lane was closed between mile markers 142 and 141.
State troopers said the tractor trailer hit a guardrail and went down an embankment.
The lane is expected to reopen at 9 a.m.
