PAGELAND, S.C. — The town of Pageland has a new police chief.
Lt. Craig Greenlee is joining its force from the Lancaster Police Department to take the job.
He has 30 years of experience and currently works on patrol. Pageland officials said Greenlee was one of five candidates.
The Pageland Police Department has been embroiled in controversy for months.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division opened an investigation into the chief at the time, Larry Brown.
Brown retired earlier this year.
