Panthers raise single-game ticket prices

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ticket prices will increase for the 2018 Carolina Panthers season.

The last time ticket prices were raised was two years ago after the team's Super Bowl season.

The Panthers executive director of ticketing and sponsorship told Channel 9 that single-game tickets for non-premium seats will range in price from $49 to $210 per game.

That’s a price hike of $1 to $6 for two-thirds of the stadium, while the other third will increase $6 to $15 per game.

"I think it's worth it,” Panthers fan Nicholas Wilmer said. “Any football game is worth it honestly."

Several Panthers fans told Channel 9 they would rather cut out anything else from their budget than missing a Panthers game.

“Does it make a difference whether they raise prices or not? Nah, I'll still go to one of the games,” Wilmer said.

“We're pretty good. It's just a good experience to come out to the stadium and watch a game,” said Panthers fan Matt Regnery said. "When you're good, tickets go up and that's just how it is."

Fans aren’t sure if everyone is willing to pay the price.

"It depends on the season we're having,” Regnery said, “If we're doing good, you know, playoff bound, it won't matter. But if we're doing bad, I doubt people will want to."

Panthers officials said the cheapest ticket for six regular-season home games will be $69, while the cheapest for premium home games against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants will be $98.
