Parents against Union Co. schools redistricting to voice opinions tonight

MONROE, N.C. — Parents in Union County plan to make their voices heard Monday night in opposition to a controversial redistricting plan for students.

They've been fighting the plan for weeks and most recently spoke out at a public hearing Thursday night.

The board is trying to ease overcrowding and has also talked about putting mobile classrooms at some schools.

Monday's meeting starts at 6 p.m. at Parkwood High School in Monroe.
