Park, Carmel roads to close

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — At 8 p.m. Sunday night, the State Department of Transportation is closing one lane on Park Road.

Crews are shutting the lane down to start prep work on the Interstate 85 widening project.

The lane on Park Road will reopen before the morning commute on Monday at 5 a.m.

On Monday night, crews plan to close Carmel Road over the highway.

That road will reopen Tuesday at 5 a.m.
