CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on Statesville Avenue Tuesday night, police said.
The pedestrian, whose name hasn’t been released, ran into the road, according to police. The driver of the vehicle that hit him tried to stop but was unable to avoid the crash, investigators said.
The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
