CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Channel 9 anchor Peter Daut has accepted a job at CBS2/KCAL in Los Angeles.
He is from the L.A. area and is going home to be with his family.
Daut said on Facebook that it has always been his dream to cover the news in his hometown and is looking forward to the opportunity.
He thanks Charlotte and WSOC-TV for a fantastic few years.
Daut’s last day at Channel 9 is Sept. 5.
