LANCASTER, S.C. - Investigators in Lancaster County are trying to figure out who shot and killed a man overnight.
Officers said they heard gunshots in the area of West Meeting Street around 3 a.m. and when they arrived on scene they found Rondell Thompson dead from a gunshot wound outside a house.
The shooting happened just across the street from Springs Memorial Hospital, and officers temporarily placed the hospital on lockdown shortly after they learned about the shooting.
Officers were questioning several people who live in the home but have not made an arrest yet.
