Police: 1 found injured on The Plaza after shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was injured in a shooting in east Charlotte Sunday night, according to police.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Police said a 27-year-old man was shot and found on The Plaza and taken to Carolinas Medical Center, but will be OK.

The man was shot at another undisclosed location and was on the way to the hospital when police met him on The Plaza.

Police said the victim knew the shooter but no arrests have been made yet.
