CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after crash on Statesville Road in north Charlotte sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. near the intersection of Statesville Road and Twin Lakes Parkway, near Interstate 77.

Police said one person was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
All lanes on Statesville Road were closed at Twin Lakes Parkway while officers investigated the crash scene.
Authorities have not said what led up to the collision.
