• Police: 2 school buses, car involved in crash

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Two school buses and a car were involved in an accident on E. WT Harris Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. The inbound lanes of E. WT Harris at The Plaza were shut down for about an hour because of the crash.

CMS officials said bus No. 806 was on its way to Northridge and only the driver was on board at the time of the crash. Bus No. 2000 was coming from Butler High School, and there were seven students and the driver on the bus at the time.

Three people -- one student and two bus drivers -- suffered minor injuries, officials said.

It's unclear what caused the crash.
