MOORESVILLE, N.C. - A 2-year-old boy died Wednesday after drowning in a pool, according to Mooresville Police Department.
The accidental drowning happened in Gabriel Estates. Officials said CPR was being performed on the boy.
The boy was taken to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, but efforts to resuscitate the child were unsuccessful.
Police said the investigation was ongoing.
