Police: 3 Dollar General robberies may be connected

SALISBURY, N.C. — Police in Rowan County need the public's help tracking down two men who smashed their way into a Salisbury store over the weekend.

Surveillance video shows the two men broke the glass door at a Dollar General on Mooresville Road early Sunday morning.

One of the men shattered the cigarette display with a hammer.

Police said the men may also be connected to other weekend burglaries in Salisbury, Granite Quarry and China Grove.

Officers said the burglary in Granite Quarry was just like the Salisbury incident -- the men smashed the front window, then used a hammer on the cigarette case. But in that crime, officers were able to lift a print from inside the store.

Police said the men weren't wearing gloves.
