CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools placed Harding University High School in west Charlotte on lockdown Tuesday afternoon because of police activity in the area.
Officers responded to a shots fired call on Whitehall Drive which is less than a half mile from the high school located on Alleghany Street, near Wilkinson Boulevard.
Police said officers did not find a victim or a gunman.
The lockdown was lifted around 12:30 p.m.
