Police arrest man accused of shooting other man in chest in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill police said Monday that they have solved an attempted murder case involving a man who was shot in the chest.

Officers said they arrested 29-year-old Tyrone Dunham on Saturday in connection with a shooting that happened about two weeks ago at 512 Pickens St.

Authorities said they responded to a shooting victim call on Nov. 12 from Piedmont Medical Center, where Ricky Jamar Williams was being treated for a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers said they spoke with a witness, Leticia Barber, who told them she saw the shooting and drove Williams to the hospital. Officials said Barber named Dunham as the shooter.

Dunham has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence, officials said, and the case is now closed.
