CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man has been arrested in connection to a west Charlotte shooting that occurred Monday evening.
Kawon Hoover, 25, was arrested Tuesday morning and faces multiple charges.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Reid Avenue and Caronia Street.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said a man was shot in the torso and taken to Carolinas Medical Center with a possible life-threatening injury.
According to police, the victim and the suspect were shooting at each other.
A woman was also grazed in the leg by a bullet during the shootout and taken to CMC with a minor injury, police said.
CMPD detectives are working to determine if the suspect and victim knew each other and the motive of the shooting.
Hoover is due to appear in court on Wednesday.
