GASTONIA, N.C. - Deputies arrested a Gastonia man they said raped a girl seven years ago.
Jonathan Campbell was charged with statutory rape.
Police said the girl, who now lives in New York, came forward after taking a health class at school regarding sexual assaults.
The girl informed a school counselor that she had been raped by her 16-year-old neighbor when she was 7 years old.
Deputies said that Campbell confessed after failing a polygraph test.
