SALISBURY, N.C. — Salisbury police arrested a man who they said shot and killed another man Saturday night at an apartment on North Ellis Street.

Frankie Eugene Cox Jr. is charged in connection with the shooting death of Timothy Grady.
Police on Wednesday afternoon blocked off part of East Lafayette Street during their search for Cox. They alerted residents to stay inside their apartments unless law enforcement told them to leave.
Officers took Cox into custody.
Police said Cox and Grady knew on another but the motive behind the shooting hasn’t been released.
