Police: Bojangles employee calls in fake bomb threat

ROCKINGHAM — Danielle Jones was arrested Monday on charges of false bomb report, assault on government official, resisting public officer and injury to property, police said.

Officers said she called 911 on Saturday with a fake bomb threat to the Bojangles on 1704 E. Broad Ave. Investigators found no evidence of explosives.

Police said Jones then punched a detective twice in the head and kicked a chair into a wall inside the Rockingham Police Department, damaging the wall.

Investigators said Jones made the threat because she had been denied a requested day off by her supervisors.
