Police capture man who stole cash from Walmart check-out line

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. — Police captured a man Wednesday accused of snatching money in a Cherryville Walmart check-out line and then knocking a 67-year-old man to the ground last week.

Police said they captured Dana Johnson, 45, after pulling him over Wednesday in Lincoln County.

In the surveillance video from inside the Walmart, it showed Johnson grab cash from a couple as they checked out. Johnson and the victim rolled to the ground but he managed to get away.
