BESSEMER CITY, N.C. - Police said they connected a man to several attacks that left families from Gaston to Cleveland County on edge.
Officers also arrested and charged a second suspect in the case.
Police said two men are responsible for six robberies: two of those were home invasions and three were business robberies where people were badly beaten.
Donnavan Huskey was already in jail on burglary charges and police believe he is the masked man that threatened to kill a family, including an 8-year-old boy, in Bessemer City.
Police said Martarvus Adams was with Huskey during some of the robberies and even beat a customer at a Gastonia barbershop with brass knuckles.
The two men also exchanged gunfire with the owners of a tattoo parlor and another Gastonia business.
Chaos tattoo on West Franklin in Gastonia was hit on Nov 7.
The suspects ordered more than 10 employees to the floor.
"I didn't even know what was going on until he said you get on the floor too and I looked up and he was pointing a 38 at me," said Jerry Wayne Pope, employee.
