CHARLOTTE — An SUV crashed into Lempira restaurant on Eastway Drive Sunday afternoon.

Police are investigating the accident as weather-related. The driver told them she hydroplaned across the median and lost control of the vehicle.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says six people were hurt, all of whom were customers. Twenty people were in the restaurant at the time of the accident.

Medic says they transported four people with serious injuries to Carolinas Medical Center, including an infant. All are expected to survive, and the driver was not injured.
