Police: Father charged in connection with 6-month-old daughter's death

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte father is accused of killing his 6-month-old daughter, Charlotte Mecklenburg police said.

Police were investigating Todd Broderick and his wife, Krishay Mouzon, after the baby was found dead in a motel.

Emergency responders were called to a motel on Tuckaseegee Road in west Charlotte late Saturday night and found the little girl had stopped breathing.

Mouzon has not been charged.

Court records show prosecutors dropped child abuse charges against the couple in 2010 because of a lack of evidence.
