FBI releases surveillance photos of suspected uptown bank robber

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An uptown bank was robbed Friday afternoon, police said.

The Fifth Third Bank on South Tryon Street was robbed by a black man, police said.

FBI released surveillance photos of the suspected robber.

Officials said the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money and left the bank on foot.

The man, police said is in his late 40s, was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a black baseball hat and white tennis shoes.
