Police find meth after man leads them on chase, officials say

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — One man is facing nearly a dozen charges after deputies said he led them on a chase.

Deputies in Lincoln County said Patrick Johnson was speeding on Highway 27 when troopers first spotted his car.

Authorities said Johnson later ditched the car on Beam Lumber Road.

Investigators later tracked down the car and found bags of meth inside.

Johnson was arrested a short time later.
