HICKORY, N.C. - For the second time this month a masked gunman targeted a Pizza Hut in Hickory.
Police are stepping up patrols.
The gunman surprised the manager while he was taking out the trash last night, according to police.
The robber ordered he manager back into the restaurant and forced him to open the safe.
Earlier this month an armed man wearing a turban tried to rob the restaurant, but the doors were locked.
Police did not say if the cases are connected.
