Police investigate 2 deaths in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a death investigation at a home in north Charlotte.

Charlotte Mecklenburg police detectives spent several hours at the home after two people were found dead inside.

Neighbors say just before 9 a.m. Sunday they heard screams coming from the home on Woodside Avenue.

Neighbors told Eyewitness News a man and a woman lived there.

They said they were worried because no one has seen the couple for several days.

"You see it on the news all the time but not right here at your door," said Helen McKissick, a neighbor.

Police will only call it a death investigation.

The names of the deceased have not been released.
