Police investigate double shooting at north Charlotte home

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a double shooting in north Charlotte.

Officers said the shooting happened at a home on Lucena street around five o'clock Sunday morning.
 
Police told Eyewitness News two men were attending a small house party when they started arguing.

Police said the fight escalated and the two men shot at eachother. Eyewitness News spoke to a woman who heard the shots.

"I heard two different shots go off and me and my boyfriend said let's go see what happened," Amelia Page said.

Police said both men have life threatening injuries. They were taken to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment.

Officers are trying to find out what started the fight.
