CHARLOTTE, N.C. - CMPD Investigators are still trying to put the pieces together after a double shooting Monday night in East Charlotte.
Shortly after 5:30, detectives were called to Chipola and Purser Streets after neighbors reported hearing gunfire.
They found two people suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police blocked the neighborhood off for two blocks and used dogs to search for the shooter.
Chris Martin wasn’t surprised to hear about the crime in his neighborhood.
“From time to time people around here they do shoot guns close by where I live,” Martin said.
So far, police have not released any information about a suspect or the condition of the victims.
