CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide after a 45-year-old man was taken to a hospital Tuesday and later died from injuries.
Police said the man was taken to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center by a family member.
The man, who police identified as William Phillips, died the next day.
Detectives are working to find out where the injuries occurred and what exactly happened.
