TEGA CAY, S.C. — Police are investigating robberies at two Circle Ks that happened just after midnight Friday.
Channel 9 is asking police whether they are connected.
Tega Cay police are searching for a man they say robbed a store clerk at gunpoint.
The holdup happened at the Circle K on West Highway 160.
The clerk said a black man wearing a mask got away with an unknown amount of cash.
He left in a light-colored four-door sedan.
Just about an hour and a half later, 11 miles away, another Circle K was robbed in southwest Charlotte.
Police said the person took off on foot after taking cash from the store on Sharon Road West off South Boulevard.
No one was hurt.
