Salisbury authorities investigate multiple shootings

SALISBURY, N.C. — Salisbury police investigated two unrelated shootings that happened within 11 minutes of each other early Tuesday morning.

The first shooting happened just before 3:30 a.m. on West C Avenue.

Police said the victim was shot multiple times and was airlifted to Baptist Hospital.

The second shooting happened 11 minutes later on East Bank Street.

One person was shot inside a house there and was also airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

No arrests have been made in either of those cases.

Later in the day at about 6:30 p.m. on East Fisher Street, a juvenile was shot while in the front seat of a vehicle. The child suffered minor injuries.

One juvenile who had a firearm was placed into custody. It is unclear if the juvenile was the shooter.

About one hour later on North Long Street, a drive-by shooting resulted in a man who was grazed by a round.

None of these shootings appear to be related, police said
