Police: Lancaster teen hits 2 officers with car

LANCASTER, S.C. — Police are searching for a man they say tried to kill two Lancaster city officers with his car.

Investigators said Tyzhe Hough, 19, was one of the drivers involved in a crash Sunday afternoon on South Market Street.

An officer said he smelled marijuana coming from inside Hough's car and that's when he drove off hitting both officers.

One officer got back into his cruiser and pursued Hough who crashed again and fled on foot into the woods.

Hough is wanted on attempted murder charges.

The two police officers, Brenner Hartley and Erica Ealy, were treated at the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were later released.
