CHARLOTTE - Police are trying to find a man who was jogging at the Mallard Creek Greenway on Monday morning in just a hat and shoes.
Police said a woman who called 911 was heading up the boardwalk when she saw him. The woman, who only wanted to be identified as Jessie, told reporter Paige Hansen she was out for her morning run when she saw the man.
Jessie called 911 immediately, but waited to call police until she was safely back in her car. Jessie said the suspect looked young, and when he started to talk to her, he told her he was just 17.
"I was just kind of dumbfounded for a second, kind of like, did I just see what I think I saw. It didn't scare me, it just made me nervous," Jessie said.
She is talking with police hoping to help them identify the suspect.
