Police looking for person of interest in armed robberies

SHELBY — The Shelby Police Department and the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department are requesting the public's help to find Regis Lee Wright, 22, of Shelby.

Wright is wanted on a felony absconder's warrant with probation and parole. Police said Wright is a person of interest in the recent string of armed robberies in Shelby and Cleveland County.

A $2,000 cash reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers along with the Shelby Police Department and the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department for information leading to Wright's arrest.
