Police: Man dies after single-vehicle accident in Mint Hill

MINT HILL, N.C. — A driver died after a single-vehicle accident Friday night, according to a news release from the Mint Hill police.

Officers were dispatched around 8:55 p.m. to the intersection of Truelight Church and Lawyers roads for a hit-and-run call involving property damage only.

When they arrived, police discovered a 2001 Chevy truck had wrecked in the 8000 block of Truelight Church Road.

The truck had struck a mailbox and overturned before coming to rest on all four wheels.

The driver, identified as Adam Miles Lepisto, 25, of Concord, sustained major injuries and pronounced dead at the scene. Police said there were no passengers in the truck.

Police are investigating the crash. At this time, it is not clear if alcohol was a factor, but speed was, according to the releases. Officers are waiting for toxicology results from the Medical Examiner’s office.
