CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police believe one arrest solved two robbery cases in Charlotte.
Officers arrested Patrick Simpson in Chester County.
Investigators said he held up a 61-year-old woman at gunpoint last month outside of a YMCA on Beatties Ford Road in north Charlotte.
She wasn't hurt, but they said he took off with her iPhone.
Police also connected him to a robbery of a pizza deliveryman in northwest Charlotte last month.
The Papa John's driver pulled up to a vacant home on Northwood Drive.
Investigators believe Simpson was one of the people who approached the driver and fired a shot.
The driver wasn't hurt.
