Police: SC student arrested at school for helping suspects escape to Florida

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police went to South Pointe High School and arrested one of Kenyan McClinton's friends.

He and two others are charged in the murder of Jordan Poirier last week.

Channel 9 reporter Greg Suskin was at the school around 9:30 a.m. when police arrested Shakira McCullough, 18.

Police said she is a friend of McClinton and is charged as an accessory to murder, police said.

McCullough's bond was denied by a judge on Tuesday afternoon.

Detectives were still searching for McClinton's mother and sister who they said also have warrants out for accessory after the fact of murder.

Suskin reported the suspect's mother, Arliver Nicole McClinton, 40, and  his sister, Deemetria Onika McClinton, 25, turned themselves in Tuesday.

McClinton, Desmond Cunningham and Laterrious Ashley are all charged in the shooting death of Poirier.

It happened one week ago at Stone Haven Pointe apartments on Celanese Road.

Ashley was hurt in a shootout with the victim and has been in a Charlotte hospital.

Cunningham and McClinton fled to Florida and turned themselves in Monday afternoon in the Kissimmee area.

The three men accused could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
